Empower Project Logo The National Lottery Community Fund Logo

As the Empower project is Big Lottery funded it is important that we promote the benefits that those who have taken part in the project have experienced.  Our funding is time limited and will end in the summer of 2020, although this seems some time away, it comes round quickly.

We complete yearly reports to our funders and welcome any feedback you have on how the project had impacted, made a difference (we hope it has) to your family.  We have the possibility of applying for a further funding allocation – but this will be a very competitive process.  We hope to highlight to the big Lottery the impact Empower is making, and can only do this with your assistance

So if you can write a few words- send us an email, have a lovely photo of an activity you have taken part in as part of the project we would very much appreciate your input.  There is no time scale on when we need this but if you have a moment of inspiration get in touch.

At each activity the Empower project provides we ask for evaluation forms to be completed, from the sessions for parents/professional those evaluation forms that were returned:

59% that attended were parents

5% were from the wider family

36% were Health and education professionals

99% found the course fun, interesting and enjoyable

80% learnt a new skill,

99% would recommend the course /activity to someone else.

Of the evaluations that the young people completed:

94% enjoyed working as part of a group

98% found the activity fun

87% learnt a new skill

96% wanted to attended more activities

Just to wish you all a Happy and restful Christmas break and thank you for continued engagement with the project.  You can contact the project team at empower@nrc.ac.uk 02879395237 or 02879395245
